Welcome to Journey of The Saber! We have just undergone a dramatic change in our class program. What was once a membership only program that met twice a week has now scaled down to just a one time a week program that is based on drop in price every time you or your padawan comes. For 15 years of age and up I recommend the adult session which is every Friday, 4:30-5:30 For kids 7-14 I recommend the later, 5:30-6:30 class time. Thank you to everyone still supporting during this change! We train younglings and aspiring adult padawans the importance of self-awareness through guided meditation and force awakening activities which enables a connection with the force, and more importantly, themselves. Discipline is also a great virtue we value. To instill this, we train physically by doing warmups and mild “Jedi workouts”, so be ready to work! The intention of these classes is to let Padawans feel they are part of the Star Wars universe through a mix of cosplay and very basic martial arts. Our vision is to prepare Padawans for other activities such as Fencing or lightsaber combat class of higher merit with a solid foundation made of discipline, basic martial art knowledge, and confidence. We work on basic, intermediate, and advanced saber fighting skills that are based on the art of fencing and Japanese sword fighting. We also work on many saber forms from the Star Wars universe. Padawans will be learning useful life skills such as building self-confidence, awareness, and focus. Our guided meditations and thought-provoking activities bring the ways of the force into our reality. Lightsaber combat training, like very basic martial arts, has been found to have a positive impact on all these aspects. We want you to know that this is not a high intensity heavy dueling class. We designed this class to introduce younglings to the world of fencing or lightsaber combat while having fun in a cosplay-like environment
